Welcome to our career showcase

Chef

Working in the food and beverage industry is a very exciting career path. Chefs have the responsibility of ordering supplies, planning menus, cooking, ensuring good quality of food, presentation, preparation and dealing with customers’ dietary requirements. To be able to survive as a good chef, you have to enjoy cooking immensely and posess a high level of personal cleanliness. It is also crucial for chefs to perform well under pressure throughout rush hours and be able to communicate well with other kitchen staff.

As the entertainment and recreation industry continues to grow, there are more and more positions opening up in the catering industry.  At present, the occupation size of chefs is at 57,000 and job prospects are good.  Another great career choice for traveling; cruise ships and private yachts are always looking for a top-class chef.

The job title suggests a very technical outlook on the job and that is exactly what is required. Geologists conduct studies and land surveys on nature, rock formations and mineral deposits. A geologist is not confined to a laboratory; instead you must be prepared to work outdoors in a range of environments. The choice of working in a group or individually is both present and crucially, a strong understanding of chemistry and physics is absolutely vital.
