I can see the hammock now. Finally a chill out compilation that isn’t depressing! The Chill Out Sessions Volume 10 takes a welcome break from the usually slightly sad or whiney tracks often featured on such compilations. This time it’s all a bit fresher while retaining its relaxed and soothing feel. It kicks off to a brilliant start with the ultra funky Sebastien Tellier’s ‘ La Ballade du Georges.’ It’s great to have Salmonella Dub back! They bring in their signature sax and some feel good energy on Love, Sunshine, and Happiness.’ Other great tracks include Mattafix’s African inspired ‘Life’ and Jose Gonzales ‘Down the Line.’ This proves it is possible to chill us out without bringing us down!
