Prevent the worst viruses from infecting you in the first place with our top three cold-busters…

Berry - Acai
The acai berry (pronounced ah-sign-ee) has ten times as many antioxidants as grapes and twice as many antioxidants as blueberries. Ranked as the number one superfood by Oprah, acai has been used for centuries as a means of cleansing and detoxifying the body utilising its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Acai berries are sensationally high in vitamins and are also loaded with essential fatty acids such as omega-6 and omega-9.

Bulb – Garlic
Garlic is a potent immune system booster. Hugely effective in the fight against bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites’ garlic’s fever-reducing properties are widely recognised. Garlic is a health-building herb, rich in potassium, zinc, vitamins A and C and selenium. As an alternative shallots are especially good at helping the liver to eliminate toxins from the body.

Bloom – Goldenseal
Goldenseal or ‘orangeroot’ is a member of the buttercup family. Sometimes called the ‘poor man’s ginseng’, goldenseal has been considered a cure-all medicinal herb. First discovered by Native Americans, goldenseal has been used for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. Today, it is immensely popular as an immune booster and natural antibiotic.
