Models to watch

Katie Wright

Susie Reid

A keen eye for fashion and  a love of literature need not be mutually exclusive as Perth Woman found out, when we talked to model Katie Wright.

Perth stunners Katie Wright and Susie Reid have only recently signed with Scene Model Management here in Perth but are destined for huge success. They are both looking forward to a promising career in the modelling world.

Katie Wright

Mixing seductive features with beautiful blonde hair, Katie has already shot for a major shopping centre fashion campaign and also done shows for L'Oreal. Her fresh faced look secures her versatility for years to come.

Perth Woman: Where do you want to be in five years' time?
Katie Wright: I would love to be living in New York, or travelling.

PW: If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
KW: J.K. Rowling, so I could ask her questions about Harry Potter.

PW: What's your definition of romance?
KW: When your boyfriend picks you up in the early morning so you don't have to wait for a taxi.

PW: The last thing you put on your credit card?
KW: I don't have a credit card, I'm not allowed!

PW: How about your worst fashion phase?
KW: I used to do ballroom dancing and rehearsed in leg warmers!

PW: What do you love about Perth?
KW: The people and the beaches.

Perth Woman spoke to Susie Reid, an 18 year old Perth model about her music tracks, and what she loves about Perth.

Susie Reid

Susie was spotted by Scene Model Management agent Jacqui Brown at the Big Day Out 2008. "You know anyone that looks stunning at an outdoor event in 40 degree heat will forever be a head turner. Susie's got a great supermodel Shalom Harlow look."

Perth Woman: What's the best part about modeling?
Susie Reid: I've only just started, but the people I have met so far have been really lovely and I am looking forward to travel, too.

PW: Describe your most romantic night out.
SR: I'm only 18 so to be honest I'm not really into that whole romantic scene yet- I have plenty more years ahead of me for 'exciting' romantic adventures such as stars, candlelight dinners and moonlit strolls along the beach.

"Perth has to be one of the best cities to grow up in despite not having that big city lifestyle."

PW: What would be your ultimate career goal?
SR: Well, I'm currently studying Law/Commerce at UWA so hopefully finishing my degree eventually and working in that field.

PW: What book is on your nightstand?
SR: 1984 by George Orwell.

PW: List three favourite tracks on your iPod...
SR: 'New York I Love You' by LCD Soundsystem, 'Staring at the Sun' by TV on the Radio and 'Jerusalem' by Matisyahu.

PW: What do you love about Perth?
SR: Perth has to be one of the best cities to grow up in despite not having that 'big' city lifestyle as it's just so incredibly laid back- you always feel like you're on holidays.
